Every tour can be tailored to you
We cross Mount Lebanon into the fertile Bekaa Valley and head for Baalbek, one of the most impressive sites of the ancient world. Its temples, begun by the Phoenicians and completed by the Romans, still puzzle archaeologists: how were stones this large ever moved?
After Baalbek we drive to Anjar, the only Umayyad trading city in Lebanon, with its colonnaded streets and elegant arches. Lunch is local, as expected, at a place only locals know about.
The day ends at an unexpected, non-touristic winery, one of the most beautiful in Lebanon. The view is simply breathtaking. As one traveller said: “I touched nature for the first time.”
